The other day I was reminiscing about the good ol' freshman days in college. There have been a lot of little things happening lately (including my upcoming b-day) that have made me think about that time and what I was doing two years ago. I sometimes coin that year as being my "transition" year or my "rebellious" year, which I'm sure most college freshman would consider to be relatively tame. Going from high school to college was difficult and the transition was kind of rough, but now, as an older and wiser junior (like being a junior in college is really that old) I am really happy with the person that I've grown into and become. I've learned a lot in the past two years and I am really thankful for all of the sweet experiences that Heavenly Father has blessed me with.
Nevertheless, I still love to look back at my freshman year, laugh, shake my head, and mostly just remember the fun experiences.
Things that come to mind:
Late, late nights
8am Spanish/absences
Acting classes
Bohemian
Brunette
Yogurt/Wheaties
Mismatched layers
A little bit of drama
Hot tubs
Timpview crew
Chips, salsa, friends
Facebook

Fun! I am glad that you have such good memories and that you feel so good about where you have gone from there.
I love thinking back to freshman year. So much fun. And I hear you on the early classes/absences. I scheduled way too many early classes my first semester and basically never attended class. Hence some seriously bad grades. Ha!

Ok, so I totally don't mean to sound creepy but I stumbled upon your page because I was searching for a picture of Mr. Rodgers! Usually I would just take the picture and run, but for some reason I read your post.
I discovered that you thinking on my same wave lengths and that's really encouraging! Its great to know that there are other people in the world who seem to understand life and how we SHOULD live.
Also, this is a personal question but are you a Christian?

Thanks for leaving your comment! I really appreciated it. Its hard to be positive sometimes but its always worth it in the end. About your question, I am a christian. I actually belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My faith is a big part of my life and definitely helps me to stay positive and hopeful. Thanks again for your comment!
